Barcis is my personal website for sharing thoughts on money, investing, travel, technology, and other subjects that have become important to me over time.
It is not intended to be a traditional blog, news site, or regularly updated publication. I do not plan to publish on a fixed schedule or create content simply to keep the site active.
Why the site exists
Over the years, I have developed opinions, systems, and practical ways of approaching certain parts of life. Some of that information may be useful when I am speaking with a younger relative, helping a friend, or explaining how I think about investing and financial independence.
Barcis gives me one permanent place to keep those ideas. Instead of repeating the same explanation or sending a collection of disconnected files, I can simply point someone here.
What you will find
The site is organized into a small number of sections:
- Money — investing, retirement, financial freedom, and personal finance.
- Travel — places, planning, living abroad, and what makes somewhere enjoyable or livable.
- Technology — computers, software, artificial intelligence, websites, and useful digital tools.
- Notes — shorter observations, books, routines, simple health and eating ideas, and subjects that do not require a larger section.
How Barcis is maintained
The site is deliberately simple. It uses static HTML and CSS without a database, publishing dashboard, plugin system, or ongoing software maintenance.
Articles and resources may be added occasionally, but the goal is not constant activity. The goal is to maintain a small collection of useful material that can remain available without becoming another obligation.
